Grape Arbor
Simple grape arbor design using white cedar from our farm, harvested during the “peeling” season for ease of pulling the bark off the wood, we used 6 main support posts, 2 long rails that sit on top of the support posts and many cross ties. Our John Deere 4720 tractor augured the post holes 2-3 feet in the ground, the cross posts are held with large 12inch spikes nailed in. She ain’t going anywheres… We finished it off with fresh softwood chips by our Vermeer BC1230A 12 inch chipper.
2016ish before we broke ground in this area.
Finished with two seedless concord grapes planted, yum!
